We recommend the Transmission BitTorrent client for Mac users, as it's a small download, and easy to set up and use. If you're already familiar with BitTorrent you can use your preferred client and don't need to read these instructions. If this is your first time downloading a torrent, instructions are provided below to help you through the process.
If you just want to dive right in, you can download Transmission and double-click the torrent file to begin downloading.

Download the latest version of Transmission from www.transmissionbt.com, which you install just like any other application on your Mac.
Open Transmission and download a .torrent file from the Feral Interactive website. You'll then be left with something that looks like the following:
Drag the .torrent file onto the main Transmission window, and you'll see this:
This tells you what you'll be downloading, and how big it is. Here you can see a 502MB LEGO Indiana Jones demo.
When you drop the .torrent file onto the application, you may be presented with the following pop-up window, depending on your settings:
The options here are simply a matter of personal preference, but the ones in our picture are a good place to start if you're unsure.
After hitting 'Add', your download will start. You'll recognise the Transmission interface as being roughly similar to an iChat or Safari download window, but with extra information:
We've downloaded 144MB of 502MB, and our download will complete in 4 minutes and 15 seconds. When the download is complete, that's it! You've downloaded the demo and can proceed to installing it in the usual way.
During the download, you may notice several 'peers' listed, or that the demo is uploading as well as downloading. This is how BitTorrent works; by allowing the demo to upload during and after your download you'll be helping Feral to ensure that everybody gets to finish their download as quickly as possible.
